Very close to the scenic park and a 30mins drive to the Grand Canyon. Very nice rooms, large, hot water, aircon/heater. Great host, stayed here last year and he helped plan my day trip in the park. He speaks English.

Everything! The location in a quiet rural area, jungle view, pool, balcony, careful decorationss, possibility to order food made by locals for dinner. Big thanks to English speaking stuff. To Linda for her patience with helping to plan my itinerary before my arrival. To Tiffany during my stay for advices, online support on WeChat during my trips out of the property and for waking up early on my departure day! This lovely hotel is located near the east gate of Zhangjiajie National Park, within a 10 minute taxi ride and is very convenient. Housekeeper lucy. Very helpful with planning our trip and booking all relevant tickets in advance The room was spacious, clean and tidy and the price was good. This was the first hotel I've stayed in and I was lucky to be able to find one. In addition, there is even a free laundry service if you need to do laundry during your trip. All in all a great hotel.

I just got back from an amazing trip to Zhangjiajie and had the pleasure of staying at Shawn Castle. I have to say, it was one of the best accommodation experiences I've ever had! First of all, the moment I laid eyes on the castle, I was blown away. Its European - style architecture is so unique, making me feel like I had been transported to a fairytale world. The rooms were not only clean but also beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfortable, ensuring I got a great night's sleep after a long day of exploring Zhangjiajie's stunning scenery. The location of the castle is really convenient. It's close to the airport, which was a huge plus for me as I didn't want to waste time on a long commute after a tiring flight. What's even better is that it's also very near to Tianmen Mountain. Every morning, I woke up to the breathtaking view of the mountain right from my window. It was like having a natural masterpiece right in front of me. The staff at Shawn Castle deserve a special mention. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. When I first arrived, they patiently answered all my questions about the local attractions and even helped me plan my itinerary. One day, I came back to the hotel feeling a bit under the weather. Without me asking, they immediately brought me some hot tea and offered to call a doctor if needed. Their thoughtfulness really made me feel at home. The facilities at the castle are top - notch. The rooftop garden is a must - visit. It's a great place to relax, enjoy the fresh air, and take some amazing photos with Tianmen Mountain in the background. And the on - site restaurant offers a good variety of delicious local and Western dishes. I especially loved their breakfast, which was a great way to start my day. If you're planning a trip to Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend staying at Shawn Castle. It's not just a place to sleep; it's an experience that will make your trip even more memorable!
