This was not my first time at the Búdir Hotel and I left completely satisfied. The room was small but clean and with a nice view. The restaurant and the hotel staff were just as perfect as last time.

Set in the quiet countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, this family-run guest house is 45 minutes’ drive from Stykkishólmur town centre.

From someone working in the industry, I must say that this is a very solid choice and hotel in the area. I did a lot of research and there are not many hotels in Snaefellsnes, mostly guesthouses. This is a fantastic choice but if you go there with the expectation of a 5 start hotel, you will be disappointed. As a small guesthouse close to the mountains and total quietness in the area, it's absolutely fantastic. Breakfast is small but absolutely sufficient. The price-value-ratio is spot on. We enjoyed it very much and I can only recommend it to anyone thinking of going there.

The hosts were extremly nice and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are very nicely made and clean, there is a nice bench at the window to enjoy the nice view. The Hotel Lobby has some comfy sofas and chairs to spend some time and relax. Breakfast had everything you could wish for and was very good. We would absolutely come here again!

We stayed here while we visited the west of Iceland and the national park. The apartment was clean, beds were nice. Recently remodeled bathroom. Living area and kitchen were adequate. Nice to have laundry included, although we didn’t use it. Neighborhood was safe with a nice restaurant nearby.

Lots of room and storage space, very clean. Check-in flexibility. Good breakfast, polite staff. Also had dinner at the cafe which is part of the property and it was excelent. Sweet regards to the "candy tyrant" :)

Very nice hotel in the beautiful location. The views were stunning. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

All was perfect, nice place , the silence , the view …not enough words to explain how it was great . Really the place to have a stop
