The Stay Inn provides a terrace and accommodations with a kitchenette in San José, 31 miles from Poas National Park. I liked the attention. All the area was clean and smelled good. Perfect to stay because it has a small kitchen. Free coffee and tea was a big plus!

Featuring a garden, XIN Bed&Breakfast provides accommodations in San José. Host went out of her way to check us in at 2 am due to flight delays. Property was very beautiful. We could park our car securely. The breakfast was freshly cooked and served by wonderful helper with smiles all the time. Balcony was huge.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel. It’s no longer exclusively gay, but I don’t think that really matters much as long as it’s welcoming to gay people. The rooms are very nice, the staff is excellent, local people show up at least on the weekend to use the bar, And it’s close to a number of restaurants. (I highly recommend Yurgos Peruvian restaurants about a 15 minute walk away. Superb food). If you want to go into downtown San Jose, it’s about a five dollar cab ride.
