Lovely quiet area not filled with tourists and just locals out on their morning fitness regime or heading to the beach or having lunch/dinner which was great for us as a family as it’s our type of holiday to see more of the local culture and people. The beaches and area in general is very clean and well looked after and the beach is beautiful especially a nice swim in the warm water which I would highly recommend. Restaurants are were good with a number of them to choose from. The people are very friendly and welcoming which always adds to the experience of the holiday. If you like a quiet relaxed atmosphere with lovely people and a beautiful beach then I would highly recommend Arenales del Sol

Handy for Alicante airport and the city is a short bus ride away. Very close to beaches. El Altet has all the usual necessities…banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, bars, and local people are friendly and helpful. We often stay here on our way to and from the airport.

Made to feel very welcoming by Gurtru our host..a lovely lady and husband..would recommend 200%..nice garden area for us smokers and a very friendly cat..very calming and lovely room..comfy bed and excellent facilities.. would definitely use again.

Absolutely spot on for overnight stay before travelling home. Facilities excellent even down to kettle, tea and coffee in the room. You may have to ask for milk but not an issue. As it's a working town there is traffic noise and also airplane noise from the takeoff and landings. Other guests can be a tad noisy but we enjoyed it there

This resort is predominantly residential and built on a steep hillside. It's a 15-20 minute transfer from Alicante airport, making it ideal for short or long breaks. There is a good selection of bars & restaurants on the main road, which runs parallel with the beach for the whole length of the resort. Alongside the main road is a lovely flat(ish) walkway. We had a wheelchair and this made moving around the resort very easy. Behind the main road and walkway there is nothing but apartments. If you are 'self catering, there are only 3 small 'supermarkets' in the resort. these tend to be expensive and the ranges limited. Larger supermarkets like Lidl, Aldi, Mercadona etc... are about 2-3 miles away, so a car is necessary. We used the Mercadona home delivery one week & it was very good. The beach was fantastic & beautifully kept. We had a storm the day we arrived and seaweed was washed up on the beach. A couple of days later it was all gone, as the local authority rake the beach every night. Along the beach are lifeguard stations offering facilities for the elderly & disabled to go swimming. All in all it's a lovely resort & we would probably go again. Although next time we would hire a car at the airport.

Hotel was ideally situated for the Airport '6-7 mins' was basic but was clean and tidy. Friendly and helpfull staff on reception. There is a large fridge to enable out of ours drinks etc in reception. Breakfast is provided if you so desire but is not cooked.
