This place is heaven. You are overlooking the Thames river, in addition in a most lovely home. The furniture is beautiful in the room and bed super comfortable. Joshua and Olu are so kind and responsive. You really feel home.

Barking, although recognised as a deprived area of London, is a pleasant working class suburb of London. The streets were clean and during the day I was happy to see that the shops were all used and open for trade. The people were approachable and friendly (although as in most places there are bound to be others that are not). I went to a local cafe and had something to eat and drink, it was surprisingly cheap and good quality. As it was New Years eve, I had to return to the area in the early hours of the morning, however, felt safe doing so, (again just be aware of the surroundings and stay alert, but this would be the same in any area). Overall, I found Barking a lovely down to earth area.

The apartment is spacious for 2 people, the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was not very clean, there was no toilet paper, and it was a strong smell of mold. One of the sliding doors of the cupboard is broken, so one can not benefit from the full space inside it, but it was not a problem for us, for such a short stay. The bathroom was very cold, the heating system is not very efficient in the bathroom and kitchen, but very good for the rest. The kitchen and bathroom would benefit from refurbishing and some updating. The cooker is old and quite dirty and there is no microwave. Also, there were no towels, so if you plan to rent this kind of accommodation consider bringing your own. There was no lining for the couch in the living room, so if you bring extra people, consider bringing that too.

The apartment was decent and cleanliness was good. The main thing that ruined it was the broken heater in the bedroom which was then replaced by the friendly host however the new heater stopped working an hour later. Another bad experience was that there was no hot water in the bathroom whereas the kitchen sink had very hot water. Host was pretty clear that if kitchen sink has hot water bath and shower will be hot however my family and I all had ice cold showers on cold winter day because of course there was absolutely no hot water!!

as i had lived nearby in abbey wood for over 65 year i would not be the appropriate person to state anything, i have seen woolwich change massively over the years. when i first went there it had about 6 department stores. 4 cinemas, I saw buddy Holly perform live there. in one. Now it is nothing but charity shops, It is a good jumping-off point to many tourist attractions and far cheaper than central London even when you factor in the travel costs and of course you have the Woolwich free ferry for a free trip across one of the worl's oldest rivers. and agood place ot see the thames barrier.

Virtually no crockery or cutlery we were unable to give the children breakfast no bowls. Unable to access garden as lock was broken in the conservatory and entrance by the side gate was littered with car tyres and car parts. Bathroom sink leaked so much the floor became waterlogged and slippery. Key was not were advertised we had to contact the owner. We left in the place we found it and notified the owner when we left . Not suitable for young children The beds were comfortable
