Airport shuttle. Extremely quiet. I was having fever that day, the owner took care of me and my daughter as if we were her own family. Such warmth to strangers I didn’t think exist anymore. Appartment was neat and clean. No mould in the bathroom, after London this was a pleasant surprise.

London Stansted Airport is located 30 miles (48 kilometres) of Central London and serves over 170 destinations across Europe. The fastest way to reach the airport is the Stansted Express train from London Liverpool Street station.     Cheap basic accommodation for 5 min drive to airport. Advertised hotel opposite-this doesn’t serve food. Better hotel was Lamb and Lion two blocks away-lovely. Fish and chips -walk around the corner or Kebab van opposite.

    I had a wonderful experience at Stansted Lodge Elsenham.

    I had a wonderful experience at Stansted Lodge Elsenham. Communication with the owner was swift and very helpful. I arrived late at night, and due to a road closure, I struggled to find my way. The owner quickly sent directions, making the process much smoother. The room was spotless, warm, and quiet, perfect after a long journey. Free parking was provided in a spacious, well-lit area secured by CCTV, adding extra convenience. The next morning, the owner went the extra mile to help with transport, which I truly appreciated. The location is peaceful yet close to the airport. I will definitely be staying again and highly recommend it for a stress-free, comfortable stay with excellent service!

    I liked the gym facilities which had a range of exercise options. Overall the hotel is ideally located next to the airport terminal and is the perfect place to prepare for or recuperate from a long flight.

    Takeley has nothing going for it at all apart from its closeness to the airport. A number of industrial units but no place to get a breakfast. The roads in and around are lined with cars that have been parked there by people who have gone on holiday but don't want to use the exorbitant and overcrowded parking at the airport.

    We were extremely disappointed when ,due to fire at the airport we missed our flight. When we tried to book another night the price was just under£300. We explained the situation but to no avail. Ver disappointed.

    We arrived for 1 night stay , nobody there as we arrived

    We arrived for 1 night stay , nobody there as we arrived Key was in key box and did not work , we went into the pub to ask for help to be told it was nothing to do with them but she would try to contact someone, a man came and finally opened our room and to say we were disappointed was an understatement , tiny , dark , dirty , soap dispensers were empty , bedding smelled We had to sleep with door unlocked in case we couldn't get out again ! Looked like door had been kicked previously.

    Bed was very comfortable and facilities in the room were good. Atmosphere in the public area (dining and bar) was a little lacking. Seating for a group of four having drinks just didn't exist - we ended up sitting on two settees that were alongside each other, ie four people sitting in a long line rather than facing each other. A few moveable chairs that could be used to create more of a 'group' setting would be a great improvement.
