Reykjavik is quite easy to walk around in the downtown core.
Reykjavik is quite easy to walk around in the downtown core. Pretty buildings, great shopping, lots of restaurant choices, etc. We loved going to the pools and it was a good place to start our tour of Iceland. Prepare for expensive restaurant meals, but everywhere we ate was delicious. We enjoyed the whale museum, lava centre, museum of Iceland, and the Perlan (the only northern lights we got to see on our trip!).Guest review byKerraCanada - 10.0

ive already answered these questions twice. we paid for a superior room and got one. Neighborhood is out of the way but has great views and animals and is near the road to Costco. we spent 2 weeks driving the entire island and enjoyed it. This place has a theme tastefully done and modern amenities. The Viking Hotel restaurant where you check -in has a nice themed restaurant good food and service.Guest review bysandraUnited States - 10.0

This is one of ,,those,, accommodations where you want to spend the night after a week full of traveling. It is clear that the owner has a sense of detail and quality. You can feel the quality on the materials and furnishings, the equipment of the entire apartment and the services that are here. Everything is still new, clean. Situated in a quiet location. We slept very well! Parking in front of the entrance, Accessibility anywhere is perfect. Since it is new here, the accommodation does not have any review and even though I usually do not write reviews, I think this one deserves one. For the price, it is exclusive accommodation and we will definitely come back here.Guest review byDaniel K.Slovakia - 10.0

My son and I traveled to Iceland for a 5 night vacation, staying in Reykjavik for a total of 3 nights. What a wonderful, safe, friendly city! We stayed downtown in 2 different areas, both walkable to the many museums, restaurants, and shopping districts. Reykjavik is colorful, with buildings and street art abundant. Reykjavik is also expensive, as is all of Iceland, so prepare to spend almost double for food, drink, and gifts as you would in the U.S. That being said, I loved it, and will be back!Guest review bywendyUnited States - 10.0

Hlid Fisherman's Village had lots of "viking" character with some very interesting maritime realia, close proximity to Icelandic horses, heritage chickens, a koi pond, cedar sauna and two rooftop hot tubs. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the view was to the sea.Guest review byMarciaUnited States - 10.0

Fantastic location, located closely to so many fantastic restaurants, grocery stores and everything you need to enjoy your stay.... very easy to drive into Reykjavik or head out onto the Ring Road elsewhere.Guest review byShawnaItaly - 10.0
I loved walking around the city and seeing the sites.
I loved walking around the city and seeing the sites. Especially enjoyed drinking water from the tap and not relying on plastic water bottles. Blue Lagoon was a relaxing treat for my whole body. Also did the 11 hour Golden Circle tour which was fun and educational as was the Reykjavík walking food tour. Definitely try the local pastries as they are delicious. The Volcano Express ride in the Harpa Concert Hall was so much fun and I highly recommend it. The only downside to this trip is how expensive everything is in Iceland.Guest review byJaniceUnited States
