Not only is the place itself very nice and clean, but we also felt very welcomed by the host. There is a small brewery run by the host, so we were able to enjoy a glass of delicious draft beer made right there. Thank you for having us – we would definitely come back!

Comprising an open-air bath and a garden, Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan is a recently renovated accommodation in Matsuyama located close to Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine. The host was absolutely wonderful! The house was absolutely stunning, with so many beautiful items and lively fish pond! It was such a wonderful retreat even though we were out on long day trips and the futons were so comfortable! The host even drove us back to the ferry port which was so kind.

The host, Maiyu, and her husband were super friendly. They own a cafe downstairs where she serves very delicious traditional dessert. The town itself was lovely as well. It's traditional bedding (so futon on the floor) and even though there was no AC at night, the cross breeze from some of the open windows, as well as the fans, made the room surprisingly cool. No mosquitos either!

Located just a 3-minute walk from JR Matsuyama Station, Hotel Aisul Matsuyama is a 10-minute tram ride from Matsuyama Castle. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Matsuyama Airport. Stayed in the hotel as part of a solo walking henro trip. Everything was good with this hotel stay- room ws fine, clean and comfortable. Location near the Matsyama JR station was convinient. As with other hotels had to wait till the checkin time so was able to leave my backpack and walk around the area. When I returned they have already moved my backpack to the room (nice).

Amazing staff and the room had everything I could possibly want plus things I didn’t even need like a shoe horn, torch and crash helmet! They even gave me a translation of the air conditioning control. Breakfast was also wonderful)Japanese) with a huge variety and the location is perfect right next to the JR station and the tram lines yet not noisy at all
