Located along Macatumbalen Beach in San Vicente, the Sunset Beach Resort by RF at SanVicentePalawan OPC features an outdoor pool with views of the sea and sunset and offers complimentary WiFi access... Roberto and all the people at the resort were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Already before we arrived, they helped us with the transport from Puerto Princessa. We arrived almost an hour after the kitchen was closed, but they prepared dinner for us anyway. Throughout the stay Roberto gave us information about the island, tips on what to do, organised an island hopping tour. On site there are also motorbikes and a scooter for rent. Roberto also gave us tips for the remainder of our trip and what to be careful of in other locations we were planning to visiting after Sunset Beach Resort. The resort itself is really beautiful and the photos here don't do it justice - it's much more beautiful in reality. The closest town San Vicente is very little and not a tourist spot at all, there is one restaurant where you can eat, a shop and that's it basically - it's very pleasant compared to the hectic and busy El Nido. There are a lot of beautiful natural places around to visit, so you can either enjoy yourself at the beautiful resort or explore around. Thank you for a great experience! Karolína and Jan.

If you want several km of perfect white sandy beach mostly to yourself and want to relax and play in the ocean and surf, this is the place for you! I MUCH prefer Saint Vincente for relaxation over El Nido, which is much too touristy for my tastes. However, El Nido has many more restaurants and accommodation choices. And stray dogs. And flies. And foreigners.
Fabulous long beach. Beautiful scenery. Friendly locals. A very unspoilt and undeveloped part of Palawan. As a westerner we only found a small number of restaurants with limited menus. No place for Lattes or Cappuccino etc. Accommodation is quite basic. However if you don't mind the basic facilities and prefer somewhere a bit low key then this area is wonderful.
Port barton is a laid back place with unpaved roads. Not much choice to eat or a place for night parties. Island hopping is soso as compared to el nido. I visited this place during lean/rainy season. I don’t know if the place gets better during peak/summer season. One day stay for island hopping is enough to stay here then explore other places like Dumaran or El Nido. What I liked most during island hopping was the giant corals snorkling area. Other than that, other places are not that special.
Long beach is absolutely beutiful and breathtaking- 15km long and absolutely no people around. San Vicente is very small and doesn‘t have a lot going on yet. Though it‘s a perfect starting point for private/shared boat tours! There‘s a rooftop bar/restaurant/accomodation: Marina4rooms. We had the best time there and the hosts are absolutely welcoming, friendly and so caring. They made us feel as if we‘re at home!
great area. shouldn't be overlooked/overshadowed. port barton island hopping tour is a must, and the long beach is amazing. Mango Bar has great food! Turtle Beach Resort offers a unique dining experience, and their mango shake is superb. owners are also so warm and welcoming. Lazuli Resort is one fine accommodation; so tranquil, and serene. definitely what we were looking for.
Absolutely! San Vicente really flies under the radar compared to El Nido and Coron, but that’s part of its charm. It’s less crowded, more laid-back, and still boasts those stunning, unspoiled beaches—especially the 14-kilometer Long Beach, which feels like a hidden gem. The slower pace and warm, genuine hospitality from the locals really give it that authentic "island life" vibe. It’s perfect for people looking to relax, connect with nature, and avoid the more tourist-heavy scenes. Some even say it’s what El Nido felt like 10 or 15 years ago.
