The location is on the edge of gion, which was wonderful not to be caught in the middle of the busy and crowded town. Many shops and eateries within walking distance.

Staff were very friendly and kept my bag for me while I went traveling around the city. They even upgraded my room to a twin (which has never happened to me before) so I got to enjoy a larger room. Beds were comfy, complimentary water was provided. Even the VOD was free (this is usually a paid service, so was a nice surprise). Hotel is also located a stone's throw away from the local station, and has a convenience store right next door.
