The hotel was super welcoming and I loved being able to watch the sunset over the ocean from my bed. I was travelling alone, so the hotel was in a great spot to be able to walk to everything safely in Ayampe. The cafe was great and even out of season I really enjoyed everything about it. They we really accommodating when I wanted to go to yoga in the mornings and have a later breakfast and super helpful with lower-cost airport transfers and local recommendations. I loved it so much I returned a week later. You can't beat the view! Perfect if you surf too as they have boards you can use.

Right on the water, could heat the waves from the room. There is a comunal space / refrigerator for cooking or keeping food. Nice pool!

The hotel was clean and quiet and had good amenities. We enjoyed using the pool and the breakfast that was included. I booked and made the mistake of not checking that the price online included everything so was surprise when at check in it was higher but they did explain to me price did not include taxes and it did say on the website not quite clearly but I hadn't noticed. Hosts were welcoming and great. The beach right outside wasn't quite nice as hoped but Olon beach was a 7 min drive and is a family friendly beach and was lovely.

Only a 2-minute walk from Montañita downtown, Hotel Kundalini offers large green areas and is located right in front of the sea shore.

The location is tranquil and the staff is very friendly. I enjoyed that breakfast had a menu (not a buffet). Also loved the fact they had a proper duvet in the room and not just a comforter with a sheet. The hotel had an eucalyptus sauna that we could use free of charge for 30 min per day, that was an incredible addition to an already very relaxing stay.

A few steps from Puerto Lopez Beach, Café Madame is a recently renovated property set in Puerto López and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking.

Lovely facility, staff and location, with delicious fresh, often French inspired meals. Many thoughtful touches in the rooms and the dining areas, and many extras, like beautiful gardens, 24/7 coffee and tea, and local arts and crafts available for purchase.
