I particularly appreciated the "pay it forward" system the owner uses to provide basic cooking essentials - such as a couple of frozen pizzas, bacon, eggs, butter, milk, juice, sodas, and bread. This means that you leave money on the table for whatever you think is fair for what you use.

Everything was fantastic for a last-minute booking (We booked ten minutes prior to arriving). The location is amazing on the cliff overlooking the firth, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic (We recommend paying for breakfast along with your room. It is worth it!!)

Can't remember much so it must have been good. Off street parking. Friendly landlord. There is a lounge but I didn't get very far with the jigsaw. would I stay here again? Definately.

You can't beat the location of this hostel in Anstruther. It's right at the bus stop and close to everything. Supermarket is a 5-10 minute walk away. The hostel is very well run and very clean. Bathrooms are great. Great showers! We never had to wait for a shower and there is a sink in the room as well. We usually stay in hotels, not hostels, but we had a private room and we were perfectly happy with Murray Library.

Breakfast was excellent, very complete Scottish breakfast, very well presented. The location was excellent with ample parking nearby. Route to location was through very attractive countryside and there was a good choice of local pubs for meals. I am pleased to recommend this B&B to others looking for a spot close to St Andrews.

The Ship Inn is located in Elie, 22 mi from Edinburgh and 28 mi from Perth. The inn has a terrace and views of the sea, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. The Ship Inn features free WiFi.
