The host uncle and family, and the staff were very welcoming. He was extremely friendly and patiently guided me on the things to do in Fort Kochi. He even ensured I found a good place to stay nearby for the next day when his property was fully booked. As a solo female bike rider, I felt very safe there.

Simple rooms that are spotlessly clean with a warm and welcoming owner. Fast WiFi allowed me to work from the picturesque shared balcony overlooking a cricket field. The hotel is perfectly situated and is a quick stroll from shops and restaurants. Filtered water is provided gratis. Laundry and breakfast service offered at a nominal charge. Ask for a balcony room, although my room was perfectly adequate with screened windows and an efficient fan.
