Beach Hotels in Kappil

Owner Sajeev and caretaker Vijayan looked after us really well during our stay. The location is fantastic - it's outside Varkala which is great if you are looking for somewhere away from the tourist crowds but bear the beach. There was a quiet beach nearby which we had almost to ourselves at times. Swimming in the sea as the sun went down was one of the highlights of our trip to India. The room was a good size with air con and a fan. Breakfast was served outside on the terrace. There is also a washing machine for guests which was really helpful for us as we are backpacking. We were lucky enough to have visited during a Hindu festival and saw plenty of free entertainment at the temple next door. Varkala is only a short tuktuk ride away and has all sorts of different restaurants and shops. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Quiet location, lovely beach. Nice veranda to sit outside and the room and bathroom were really spacious and well equipped. The staff there were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was amazing. Right on the beach and about 35 min walk to the north cliff restaurants and shops.

Highly recommended! Calm, super location, greatly maintained and very clean property with polite and efficient staff. We were met with a cordial reception and breakfast, although we turned up way early after having arrived by night train. We were given a small room to rest and refresh until ours - upgraded from what we had booked, with sea view! - was ready. Our daughter in particular loved the pool! Great place for families seeking relaxation. Food is good, too.

Nearby north cliff beach and beautiful

I have never seen such a sea view in varkala. The property was amazing.

Everything was perfect. At this price, it's unbeatable in Varkala. The apartment was clean, had great facilities, and included a balcony. It is also very quiet. You get a full apartment, and there's even free water available. The building itself is new, as is everything inside. The host was very welcoming. It’s also just a 4-5 minute walk from the beach, close to the temple, and there are some really nice local restaurants and cafés nearby with great views of the ocean. Highly recommended!

Tiny Temple is a rare gem set back from a quiet section of 'the strip' close to Black Beach. Swati, the host, couldn't be sweeter. He was really helpful and made us feel completely at home. The location and view from the rooftop/deck is unbeatable and the price was totally reasonable (we were there just before 'high' season). New Wifi is being installed which will be the cherry on top! Another perk was the fine folks at Elina's Clifftop Restraunt (next door) who were really accommodating and even offered room/rooftop service. My daughter and I took a risk on a spot without reviews and in this case we're so glad we did. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Clean, well organised, perfect getaway spot, away from the crowds, calm, safe and secure gated property. The staff and the owner are very cooperative and do a great task in ensuring a comfortable stay

Kulture KonnectT hostel seems to be a brand new hostel. Staff and vibe: Hostel staff was very friendly. General vibe of the hostel was great. All local and international travelers were hanging out together: exercising on the rooftop terrace, having dinner, playing games or discussing different things. Location: Hostel is located in one of the tiny hidden quiet street, very close to the main road, shops, pharmacy, café and restaurants, public transportation. Everything what needed for comfortable living was around 5-10 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. Beach: It took around 25 minutes to walk to the Black sand beach and 35-45 minutes to the Varkala beach. Bedroom: I was provided lower bed as requested. Shared bathroom with shower and toilet was in the bedroom. There are lockers under each bunk bed to keep personal belongings in safety, just bring your own lock! Kitchen: There is a large kitchen with everything needed for cooking own meal. Separate thanks for the electric kettle for tea-monsters like me. Dining room: Dining room looked like a large room in booking.com pictures, but in reality it was small, I would say compact. There is a filtered drinking water in the dining room. Terrace: It was amazing that hostel has several terraces on different levels. It’s possible to read book, sunbathe or hang out with other travelers on the terrace. Gym: There is a gym equipment on the terrace with jungle view. Cleaning issues: Dining table was messy all the time and nobody from the staff cared about that. Bathroom floor was always wet despite the rules posted everywhere. Wi-Fi: Free wi-fi worked well everywhere in the hostel. Overall, everything was great, safe and fun in the hostel. Hostel is the same as in booking.com pictures. I can recommend Kulture KonnectT hostel for everyone.

Location of this place is very unique. Amazing view to a rice field with combination of beach 2 minutes away is really ulatimate combo! So much green around, so many animals, and action of nature. Just wow! Moreover Safi is very nice host. He is always available and ready to help with everthing.
