We were 2 families of 4 travelling together and booked 2 apartments, that we got right next to each other. Apartments were a lot bigger than we expected to be (shown in the pictures). Kitchen was almost perfectly stocked with all the utensils, kitchenware and basic seasoning (salt, pepper, oil). Kitchen could use a bigger wisp though. And it only missed a good peeler for vegetables. Otherwise it was perfect. I was dual-wielding 2 pans every day to make pan-cakes. Location was selected very carefully. It was a nice hub to stay and popular Icelandic sights are all nearby or mostly hour or so away: Reykjavík, Blue Lagoon, Golden Circle, waterfalls in the east and etc. Not to mention nice walks in local town or nearby black dune beach. Larger grocery stores are only 10 min drive away.

Gorgeous property. Sublime ocean views. Owner kind and friendly when we had to call on arrival about the door lock box code - our fault as we had not noticed the email that came after our booking so keep an eye out for this. Park to the right side as you drive in as the other spot is leased. Marine/boat style steps up to the loft area with kitchen/lounge/main bedroom were not a problem for the 86 year old member of our group once she had tackled them a couple of times so don't be put off by these if you are reasonably mobile. Cute, well-equipped and designed electric kitchen with a drawer-style dishwasher integrated with the oven. Great laundry with Miele washing machine and dryer. Outdoor hot tub also good for star-gazing and potential Northern-light searching. We bought supplies at supermarket in Selfoss but there are some basics such as salts, sugar, coffee pods and most herbs and spices already supplied.

Very (very) well equipped and comfortable apartment, located near the beach in a quiet environment. The hot tub and large terrace added extra comfort. The owners were extremely helpful and nice for truly optimizing our stay. Once again, an outstanding place to stay in south iceland !
