Absolutely Outstanding Experience! Our stay at the Dormero Hotel in Sri Lanka was nothing short of amazing! The staff here is truly the best we have ever encountered – attentive, friendly, and always going above and beyond to ensure a perfect experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with a fantastic ambiance and exceptional hospitality. Without even asking, they graciously upgraded our room because there was availability – such a thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more special. Breakfast was an absolute highlight – delicious, varied, and beautifully presented. I had a fabulous time at this hotel and was very sad to leave after four days. The staff are so kind and they keep the place spotlessly clean, despite being right on the beach. The hotel and feels like a small resort. The property is very quiet and it is easy to pass time between the beach loungers and the pool. The location is fantastic, being walking distance from many restaurants while also being away from the noise of the beach bars. It is also easy and convenient (and fun!) to take the bus to Hikkaduwa, the Tsunami Museum, or Galle from the road outside the hotel. Service at breakfast is also top notch. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with easy access to amenities in Hikkaduwa.

The location was perfect. Right on the beach in front of the surf breaks. Staff were absolutely amazing, so genuine and helpful. The room was so clean big and comfortable. Great air conditioning. Surf board hire as well so easy to get out into the surf. Our favorite accomdation in Sri Lanka. We ended up extending our stay here and coming back again.

The villa is located a little further from the main restaurants, but within walking distance.Great view, very polite staff, delicious breakfasts!This is definitely one of the best places to stay in Hikkaduwa!

Everything! When you walk through that front door you are walking into a zen haven- absolutely divine. Every member of staff were extremely helpful for anything you need. They are there but not intrusive. The meals we ate onsite were delicious with enough choices for us. The pool is perfect, the rooms are large, the decor is gorgeous, and the price was perfect. We had friends staying in a large hotel further north, with buffet, multiple pools, and crowds - Villa saffron is a place to relax. We will definitely return.

Very big a nice room with the amazing sea view. Delicious food, very helpful personel. I'd like to mention Bagi who was very helpful during our stay. Sagut was helpful and attentive by trying to support when we were in the area of pool. Staff is helpful, food was very taste, a big compliment to chef who make a very delicious food. Breakfasts were very good with a lot of variety every day. You could order eggs in different form, pancakes, yougurt, poridge. There were always fruits, fresh juces and good coffee every morning. Clean rooms, change of towels every day, towels for the beach were also available. Since there are only 6 rooms in the Hotel it was enough space for everyone, the staying was very comfortable and relaxing. Manager of Hotel met us every day by asking if we needed anything. We felt in Roman beach Hotel like at home. Highly recommended and definetely return back. The beach is the best in surrounding where there were not many people and serfers.

I stayed at Palazzo Beach Hotel for my last days in Sri Lanka and really enjoyed the experience. Although the hotel is not directly on the beach (you need to cross the road, and swimming is possible a few minutes’ walk on either side), the location is peaceful and away from the busy tourist areas. My favorite part was the rooftop restaurant, especially at sunset – such a calm and beautiful atmosphere to end the day. The staff were welcoming, and overall it was a very comfortable stay. * Special Note: If you are a surfer, please note that there are no waves directly in front of the hotel. For surfing spots, you’ll need to go about 4–5 km away. I had a great time here and will definitely visit again!
