We stayed for 3 nights in October at this very nice hotel with rooms set within the garden, making it very quiet and peaceful. Nice pool and rooms only a short walk to a lovely, quiet beach. Free yoga is available every morning and the massages at the spa were also fantastic. However, the best part of the hotel was the staff, who couldn't do enough for us. The manager of the hotel organised a free moped ride to a nearby shop to get supplies and also let us borrow mosquito repellent as we had run out. He was also really helpful in organising a safari trip to Yala National Park and organised us a meal on the beach on our last night, complete with cake and chocolate biscuits for my girlfriend's birthday and a free king coconut in the afternoon. The food at the restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better stay! We would definitely return to this hotel if we visited this area again.

EVERYTHING - Manu and his wife Shishi and the house dogs were the best! we felt at home, Manu went fishing and cooked us fresh crabs, shrimps, fish more than we can eat at a very fair price. he also went fishing in the next morning again and cooked us fresh lobsters in the morning free of charge because he didnt have lobsters the night before. he is just too kind and giving. we played card games all night as a family:) rooms are clean and beds are comfy. also hot shower! dont leave this place without eating the seafood!

We spent a lovely weekend with our teen daughters at the Halcyon Mawella. It was just the relaxed, low key weekend we were looking for. The staff were kind and helpful. Our room was clean & comfortable and we enjoyed the atmosphere by the pool & in the upper bar area. The grounds were really well cared for. The breakfast was amazing and we enjoyed the varied selections at the restaurant for lunch and dinner. I liked the fish tacos in particular. This place has a relaxed & luxurious vibe. If you are looking for busy nightlife and crowded beaches, this place isn't for you.
