Beach Hotels in Valletta

The location is great because it is a lot more quiet than othe parts of Valletta

We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights before Christmas. It’s a really nice big hotel with a great staff, a perfect location next to the sea and near the inner city of Valletta. In terms of hitting what we wanted, the hotel was perfect for us. It seemed to be a mixed clientele of varying nationalities and various ages. The breakfast was good with nice view to the harbour, but we did not eat in the restaurant. The hotel has everything you need. We visited Malta to celebrate my birthday, as very nice surprise the hotel sent in our room a piece of excellent chocolate cake and a bottle of red wine! All the staff were very very helpful and friendly (almost at the reception) on the whole an enjoyable stay but there is room for improvement. Small problem with the heating in our room (in December the outside temperature at the night is around 10-13 degrees) but it was fixed immediately. The hotel inside pool is nice but quite old school. In the main season you can profite of the private beach with small private yacht marine, a large pool outside, outdoor restaurant next to the sea, gym, nice private area around the hotel with small gardens, e. g. Every room has a balcony and you get two free water every day. We forgot our travel adapter / power plug change and we bought them in hotel boutique. The bus station is just before the main gate into Valletta so we used that quite a bit to explore the island. There would be much more to write, but in the end we just want to thank the whole staff. Overall then, hotel was perfect for what we wanted and would absolutely recommend the Grand Hotel Excelsior. We're going to come back to Malta and we will more than likely stay here.

When I shopped around, the hotel was rated 4.3 out of 5 but I would give full 5 points! I think the cleanliness, the quality of service, in short it was a high-end luxury experience! I have travelled to 21 countries and I have stayed in a lot of hotels! I enjoyed their several pools, and we liked best that they have a private beach and a restaurant right at the beach! The breakfast buffet was incredible. They had everything there and they had a cook to prepare your breakfast just the way you like!

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The accommodation was excellent – clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is perfect, with easy access to everything you might needed. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast was a delicious and something for everyone to enjoy. The pool was also spotless and a great place to unwind. Overall, everything was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

I had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly kind and helpful, which made my trip even more enjoyable. The apartment itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable, with a stunning view. The bed was comfortable — not too soft and not too hard — which is very important for me because I usually struggle to fall asleep in apartments. Here, I fell asleep in no time. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!
