We were staying at Lafayette Alojamentos for a few days, and really enjoyed our stay there! The place really felt like a home for us: there was really clean, breakfasts were amazing, and the staff was really warm and kind. Special thanks to Candida (the hostess), who helped us to plan our holiday to be one of a kind!

My first accommodation on a two week trip to Cape Verde. Too bad it's only for one night. The owners are very nice. Of course, it is not a hotel with many stars, but it has everything you need and I really liked it. In the evening in the bar you can meet different people from different places and that is good. Absolutely recommended. Outside the tourist areas this small hotel is in a safe part of tiny Santa Maria, close to the beach and also the city centre. We had the roof top room with a kitchenette (with everything.... even oven, dishwasher, freezer etc) and for our needs on this trip, it was the best hotel room I have ever had, it felt private with its own part of the terrace behind a little gate and had lots of Light and views in all four directions. Staff is wonderful and professional and cares for every guest taking an interest and trying to adapt to their specific needs. They arranged taxis (same price as if you book yourself) and we also had a good car rental experience through the hotel. Their recommendation with regards to local restaurants were perfect. Will return asap.

Exceptional room: high ceiling, spacious, clean, hot water with good pressure. Nothing wrong. A must if you visit Santa Maria, just behind the main touristic road.

Very new and clean house. The host was friendly and allowed me to stay longer on check out day. Perfect spot if you plan to visit Shark Bay and Salinas without a tour (1h walk each way and 1h walk in between)

Most things in the room seem new and the staff is very kind. The location is excellent, close to the bus stop and supermarkets and restaurants, in the heart of authentic Espargos. I had a good sleep, the street, busy during the day, is quiet at night. The room size is good, you get a room bigger than most
