We had a lovely couples’ getaway at this guest house. The jacuzzi bath was perfect for relaxing after exploring Doncaster. It’s not a hotel, so it felt much more homely and personal, which we really enjoyed. Would definitely recommend for a cosy, romantic stay!

Great choice for breakfast, snooker table, decor throughout was very nice, hostess was very friendly and offered us an extra room for our seventeen year old which was a nice surprise.

Great price, good beer selection in the pub, room was excellent. Staff were great and very accommodating. Mini fridge in the room was very useful and stocked full of sparkling and still water which was great as we stayed during summer. Many high end hotels, like the one we stayed at after this stay, had none of the facilities of this hotel while being triple the price. Lots of parking and the car park is immediately outside of the complex, which made it easy to move our luggage into the room.

Surrounded by miles of peaceful countryside, this 19th-century listed building offers old-fashioned charm alongside modern comforts, home-cooked local food and local beers and ales.

The Star Hotel is THE friendliest accommodation I've ever stayed in. They couldn't do enough for me, and the biggest bonus was a disco the first night, then, on the second night, a live band. Best place ever. All the staff super friendly and helpful, plus all the patrons made this Southener very welcome indeed. The room was exceptionally clean, and I honestly couldn't fault it at all. Parking was great too.
