What an absolute gem . The photos don’t quite capture the charm of the place. Super comfy bed and great rooftop views over Anghiari. What we loved the most is the generosity of the hosts, the extra coffee pods they supplied us with when I mentioned how much I enjoyed my coffee in the morning. The fully stacked kitchen with breakfast bits, including gluten free biscuits, yogurts and milk in the fridge. You could choose to have fizzy water or naturally chilled, coffee or cappuccino! To top it all Antonio and Cinzia provided us with a cake, which considering we were the only guests (off peak of course) was very generous . We felt thoroughly spoilt and as hosts ourselves we appreciate how this makes us feel. Thank you both for such great hospitality!!!

We had a double room in a building that was built into the hillside, entered from stairs underground and then a French door on the opposite side of room that opened to a small shaded area overlooking the vast valley below and the beautiful Montone, a hilltop village straight across the valley. The view was magic and made us smile every morning when we woke. It was then down the path to a small but lovely pool near the mountain edge. We had exploring to do, so regrettably didn't have as much time to spend just relaxing at the venue, as we would have liked. A next visit for this is being planned. We had a delicious and plentiful breakfast each morning with many choices available. It was a 20-30 min walk to Montone, an uphill, and down dale stroll. There are other accommodation types at the B&B, I believe, but we just loved ours. There wasn't air con, but we didn't need it because of the underground nature of the room, and it was very hot out. Montone is a delightful village and was the purpose for our initial stay, however the area has some lovely other villages and a devine winery not if you have a car to explore in.

Me and my friend were on a pilgrimage route Via di Francesco, starting from Florence towards Assissi. B&B Il Palazzo is a real jewel of Tuscany, a palazzo indeed. You can feel 1000-year old history of the building and amazing view of the mountains combined with brand new stylish apartments and rooms. Ancient fireplace and a modern bathroom makes you relax and get back your energy. But most uplifting is the atmosphere of welcome from the hosts. An amazing Italian couple, very friendly, trying to make your stay as comfortable as only possible. Thank you Giovanni and Paolo! We would definitely come back and recommend your palazzo to all our friends.

Our host was very welcoming and the room was full of character. Spacious, spotless and able to make a cup of tea and coffee was an added benefit. Our room had a balcony and clothes line outside that we used to dry some clothes. The accommodation was close to the main square.
