Extremely friendly and helpful staff! They speak very good English and even organized an Onsen visit for me and another guest on the same day. The guest house is super cozy and it’s very nice to relax in the common area with the tatami floors. The guest house is located very close to Hakone open air museum, so it’s easy to reach by bus.

It feels incredibly authentic. For anyone staying here, I'd just say trust the process, the host is the sweetest little old man who hosts really fun karaoke evenings. It wasn't what we expected going into it but this place gave us some great laughs and memories for life.

excellent location, very near the mountain railway station but nice and quiet. The facility is decorated to give a very warm and cozy feeling, rooftop was great to chill out and watch the stars. Fantastic stay in a small hotel. The view onto the bay was absolutely stunning. We loved the Tempur futon, one of the best we slept on during all our travels to Japan. The room was very specious and clean. Bathroom was a standard Japanese bathroom, with all the necessary amenities. We came by car and really appreciated the parking space in front of the building.
