I stayed here during my 88 Buddhist temple walk and I absolutely loved this place. I had a large room overlooking the harbor. It was colorful and cozy , with an extremely comfortable bed. It felt more like home than other places. And the young owner is fluent in English and was very helpful to suggest places to see, not only locally but in other parts of Japan. She made a great breakfast and was very kind. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a unique place to stay. The onsen that is on the other side of the harbor is great as well, with a view of the ocean.

Authentic house with a lot of charm, clean and well kept. It is at 10min walk from Dogo Onsen. The kitchen as well as the rest of the house is well equipped and the host has left clear instructions everywhere to operate various appliances in the house.

Besides the awesome building, the amazing talks you can have with people and the very appreciated free bicycles and air conditoning. I especially recommend staying here because of the amazing staff. The owner does anything possible to make your stay here comfortable, and he brightens up any room he is in. You should also check out his café in the city center!

I stayed here when I was on a cycling trip. I booked last minute and the owners were very kind and welcoming, despite arriving late in the day. The owner even drove me into town for a meal because everywhere in the area was closed. He was such a kind soul and I loved viewing his photographs on when he travelled to Morocco and Barcelona (Monsterrat). The owners made me a delicious miso soup for breakfast in the morning. The room was very comfortable. Japanese style beds on the floor. The bathroom was very clean with hot water. This is a 3 minute walk from Doggo Onsen. The owners provide everything you need to go there (robe, towel, slippers) I would recommend anyone who wants an authentic Japanese experience to stay here. I felt incredibly welcomed by the kind owners. It is ideal of cyclists, with a place to store my bike.

Location was good Easy to get around on foot or public transport . The day i arrived was late sunday afternoon The super friendly Japanese couple who run this place even brought me to Matsuyama castle with their private car, so i could still visit it before closing time .

The amazing breakfast and the heart warming friendliness of the hosts are the biggest advantages of this place. Strolling through the little harbour town Mitsu is lovely and the train will take you in 15 mins to downtown Matsuyama.
