The host was very helpful and courteous. The hotel’s service and facilities (eg., breakfast, onsen, common area, yukata, amenities) were well designed with attention to details. Selection of breakfast pastries was good, and they were delicious. Nice onsen facilities were available for private use. Rooms were basic, but very comfortable. If the weather is nice, the hotel is within walking distance to many sites.

The Landlady was very nice and helpful Used her app to translate to English so that we could understand her better. Provided us with a sumptuous breakfast Room had a heating mat and good aircon. Location was central, located relatively close to the train station. There is a 7-11 and ENOS (petrol kiosk) located approximately 1minute walk away from accoms. Carpark available. Approximately 2mins drive from the nearby attractions, ~4mins drive from the Red bridge, the Toshogu Shrine. Please note that toilets are shared. There are two toilets. One on the second floor, one on the first floor. There is a bathroom on the first floor.

it was super close to everything. it was clean, super cozy, and had a very pretty Japanese style. The hosts where some of the nicest people we have ever met met. They made staying at the stay house an experience in itself. we would definitely stay there again if we ever go back to Nikko.

I’m not used to be so generous in my reviews, but Sanga Nikko deserves not a 10 but an 11! outstanding facilities, location and the owners are incredible people. One of the 3 places around the World that I now I’ve to go back for sure 😀

Craft house has 2 beds for women in a Japanese style Tatami room, it's clean and warm. I traveled alone, but then had 2 nights slept very well here. The house is right opposite to Kegon falls, super easy to come and see the Falls in the morning with the Sunshine 🌞 There is just 1 restaurant opens for Dinner in this area, but there is a small super market opens to 20:00 so you can get food from here, it is 450m from the house. The host - Makoto san is super super nice and hospitable person. Even we already had the food from the market, he also brought us some salads, boiled eegs, tofu, and Tsukemono from a famous restaurant in this area. The breakfast is very delicious, he said that this will provide enough energy for people can go to the mountain and forest to enjoy nature of Nikko. He likes sharing the tourist information and characteristic of the area to the guest, so don't hesitate to ask him for any information if you need. On the morning we decided to walk to Yomoto Onsen from the house, he even offered to drive us to the beginning point of the Walking course.

    Lovely, clean and quiet place. Izumi was a great host. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. We had the privilege to see a mother deer with its fawn from our deck, it was spectacular. We highly recommend this beautiful stay.

    Location is very good, close to most of the main temples in the area and a few nice restaurants nearby. The hotel is simple yet charming and well kept and the private Japanese bath is a plus. Staff is friendly.

    Quiet scenic location. Everything walking distance. There are several restaurants near by. We didn’t have breakfast at the property so can’t comment. Lovely private onsen. First come first serve. Next to the river so can watch the river flowing by from the onsen. Kanmangafuchi Abyss starts at the hotel. Don’t miss it.

    Great hosts who went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. Spotless house, quiet location, beautiful touches to make it feel homely, an awesome bath that stays hot and fills automatically- the best bath I have ever had! Hosts had information including timetables for buses, shows at edo wonderland at their finger tips. Walking distance - 5mins to bus stop and only 10mins tops to train station. Host also took us to the train station in their private car - very friendly, polite and helpful. Loved our stay and wish we stayed longer.

    Great location for visiting the shrines and temples. Quiet and cosy, old style and comforting. Free tea and coffee and use of tableware if you want to eat your own food. Friendly owner with great advice about where to visit and where to eat. Spotless shared washrooms. Great private Japanese style baths for a good soak at the end of the day. Easy access by bus from the station. I enjoyed the breakfast of toast, an egg, fruit, and coffee (not included in my room price); it was perhaps a little pricey but very convenient.
