Blythcliffe is a lovely heritage property that sits beautifully in its surroundings. it’s very close to all the wonderful restaurants and cafes. The gardens are lovely, with lots of doves living in the trees, there are chickens (great eggs), and a very old deaf cat. The breakfast is exceptional- always fresh and very tasty. They went the extra mile to ensure my husbands dietary requirements were met (coeliac). Hopefully we will get back there one day.

Ken is a amazing host, friendly, very attentive, and he went above and beyond our expectations from delivering eggs to lending us his car, blown away with the service here at Glenwood Akaroa retreat. The walking tracks were a extra bonus, one with a beautiful waterfall. BBQ,assortment of snacks and breakfast are provided. The spot is so secluded, peaceful and private it was hard to leave.The perfect get away, we definitely recommend and would love to come back. Thankyou for having us.

Beaufort House is a little piece of heaven in a stunning and quaint historical little coastal town. Sharon and Noel were the perfect hosts. The property itself is quite simply fabulous, with wonderful attention to detail at every corner. The bedrooms are beautiful and each one different. A delicious breakfast, to include an array of fresh local produce is served. An especially lovely feature, apart from breakfasting together as a group, is a drinks and canapés soirée hosted by Sharon and Noel for their guests each evening from 6 - 7/7:30pm Good lively conversation over a glass or two of wine in very pleasant company and another perfect evening begins.

We loved our stay at Newton Heights. Gail and Brendon immediately made us feel welcome and at home, and the place was beautifully decorated with plenty of places to relax, including a hot tub/spa! They went out of their way to make our visit as special as possible. The vegetarian breakfasts were also exceptional and we were just gutted we couldn’t stay longer! Would definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our three night stay at this beautiful historic home in it's gorgeous garden setting. We were warmly welcomed by Sabine who was an exceptional hostess. Our room had a harbour view and rhe breakfasts were outstanding, with a wide array of local produce. The location was an easy walk to the bay, cafes and restaurants. Thank you Sabine, we hope to return in the future.
