Drinks are served from the bar, during lunch and dinner dining hours. We had a fabulous stay and loved every aspect of it. Staff and owner were very attentive and helpful. Our own lodge was beautiful and having kangaroos outside our windows at dawn and dusk was very special.

Amazing recently refurbished hotel in American River. The rooms were spacious and super comfy beds. We actually spotted the glossy black cockatoo from our balcony. The hosts were super friendly and served a delicious breakfast every morning and we went for their 7 course fine dining for dinner where we got to watch sunset and was the best meal we had on the island hands down

What a fantastic spot to come home to at the end of an amazing day taking in the sights and sounds of Kangaroo Island. Bright and spacious with great bushland views and a very comfy bed! Wedgetaildown was exactly what we were looking for. Betty and Peter were wonderful hosts.

Outdoor seating is also available at the guest house. Great central KI location, there is a pub, laundromat and cafes just a short walk away. The cabin is new, clean with everything you need. Owners are very friendly and will show you their farm pets if you ask them :)
