Fantastic spacious rooms with very comfortable beds and exceptionally clean, you could eat from the floor. Warm showers and great location to do sightseeing. This is 100% owned by locals who put their heart and soul into it. Definitely would recommend.

Above all, the Refugio concept — which includes a beautiful café and a cozy bar offering excellent food and drinks — truly exceeded our expectations. Unlike at other accommodations, we didn't have to eat Gallo Pinto for breakfast every day, but could instead choose from a wide variety of delicious brunch options directly from the restaurant/bar. The staff were friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed — from arranging surf lessons to recommending great local restaurants. We were mainly in touch with Augustin, who took excellent care of us. Overall, we were delighted with our stay and can highly recommend this place.

The room was wonderful, the presentation of the bed looked so nice I didn’t want to mess it up! It was quiet, location is great, nice view, short walk to the beach. Owner and staff were very friendly, breakfast was delicious. Nice semi personal patio and hammock outside although it was too hot outside to use. Lines to hang clothes to dry. Shower pressure was fantastic. I also took a horseback ride through the beach and jungle and it was the all time best ride I’ve ever had. It was called Horses Paradise, Playa Carrillo and my guide picked me up at the hotel with my horse.

Natalie and Yannick are very kind and helpful. We loved every bit of our stay there! The road, depending on which route you take can be an adventure, but we even loved that, including the small creek crossings! We had howler monkeys sleep above our little cabin and woke up to their vocal activity, which was incredible!! We absolutely loved our stay!

Trully amazing breakfast and room/house. Everything is well tought, i am sure this is the best place to stai in whole costa rica, all that for a very modest price.
