Check-in is done via email and number combination. A beautiful log cabin-style holiday home with a large terrace awaits us in Snorrastadir. There we find a surprise that we didn't know about: a hot pot full of hot water and ready for a bath! The spacious kitchen-living room and the bedrooms offer plenty of space for our family of five. Everything necessary for preparing dinner is available, including a dishwasher and cleaning tabs.

This family run guesthouse sits scenically on the Snæfellsnes peninsula on Iceland’s western coast, and features views of the surrounding nature from all rooms, as well as free Wi-Fi.

This hotel is on the southern shore of the Snaefellsnes peninsula, close to the water. The modern room (comfort twin with glacier view) was spacious with two chairs, a desk and small table, comfortable bed and a nice bathroom with good shower. There are electrical outlets galore in this room. The weather didn't allow for a view but we would have seen the glacier out of our spacious window if the peak hadn't been covered with clouds. The dining room has a very good dinner buffet and excellent breakfast with many hot and cold items. Location is convenient for visiting the Snaefellsjokull National Park (be sure to go to the excellent visitor center at Malarrif) Budir, Hellnar, Arnarstapi, the black pebble beach, and other amazing wonders of the area. Highly recommended.

All the amenities a couple could require for a short stay. Our goal was to tour the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. This was the perfect spot to head out and tour the entire peninsula.

Sodulsholt Cottages evokes the story of a real Icelandic family, which preserves and nurtures the tradition of breeding Icelandic horses. On the farm, litlle friedns of horses are adorable cats and dogs. The warm family atmosphere gave us the feeling of a home from which we did not want to leave. If you want to interact with owners, see horses, ride them or similar, just ask. Here you will find tranquility, peace and untuched true nature. Explore the west fjord of peninsula, it is worth it!! We did our shopping in Borgarnes, Bonus market, which is 50 km away if you are coming from Rejkjavik direction. Watch out because there is no closer market. We are only sorry that we were not able to see the aurora borealis due to the clouds. Excellent equipment of the house, warm and cozy, equiped with everything you need so that you don't have to worry about anything for a few days. Ideal for a family with two children, warm, very clean with all equipment and parking in front of the house. There are 3 other cottages next door, but you have enough peace and privacy. Check in/out at any time of the day, because the key is on the wall next to the entrance door with the code.

The property was outstanding - modern , tastefully decorated, spotless , had every possible implement and kitchen utensil, in a quiet location but perfect spot for exploring the Snaefellsnes Penninsula. Probably the best value for money holiday home I've ever experienced !
