Suihoen was the pinnacle of our honeymoon. the staff were absolutely lovely and attentive. They added so many small touches to our stay and the food was absolutely sublime! if we could give them 100/10 we would. it was the absolute highlight of our entire Japan trip and we will definitely be back!

It's an onsen ryokan in the truest sense. The buildings are what I expected - aged but still very clean, a remnant of the past. You can get two views from the public onsen - female and male baths are switched at the end of the day so definitely go have another bath the next day! It'll be a different view so don't be surprised if the bathroom is suddenly 'different' The staffs here have a decent number that speaks good English - at the front desk and the one accompanying you to your room. There's also a free shuttle that fetches you from the station to the Inn.

Izumi-so was my first Ryokan experience and couldn't recommend it more, the host was lovely, kind and accommodating. My room was very nice and the breakfast was delicious; the open air onsen was also lovely at night! Great location, about a 1-2 minute walk from the center of Gero. 10/10

We absolutely loved our stay here. When driving in you are surrounded by mountains and it's so peaceful. We took this time to rest and enjoy the beautiful traditional Japanese home. You can get dinner for 5000 yen, which includes venison or 3500 without venison. It was a beautiful meal and a lot of food. The beds were one of the most comfortable from our entire trip, and the fluffy bedding was a dream. There are a few things in the direct area you can walk to view, the dam, which is pretty impressive. Thank you for giving us this experience. There is an onsen about 8km away at a hotel in town, we hoped to use but last entry is 7.15pm. We used facilities at the accommodation and were happy with them.

I couldn't be happier with my stay! The room was twice as big as I'd expected, and very comfortable; it was a chilly night, but I kept warm with the blankets and heater. The location was fantastic, the owner was kind, and the breakfast was delicious. I'd definitely stay here again, and I'd recommend it enthusiastically to anyone else!

Breakfast and Dinner that in included in the room package is excellent。 There was plently of food every meal. It was definitely a eye opener for traditional Japanese food. We travelled with 3 young kids and they provided diaper bins, kids shower gel, toothpaste, kids yukata. I am surprised by how kids friendly the resort are.

The location was very pleasant. Hotel conveniently situated; breakfast adequate.  Small village with a number of suitable restaurants and food outlets. Onsen something that should be experienced but tub in room ideal.

Traditional ryokan that is very welcoming. Highly recommended to book your stay with meals. We love the dinner and breakfast served to us in the restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor onsen which is well maintained. There are also free coffee and cold water for you to drink at the lobby area. There is also a small souvenir stall for you to shop. Upon check out, we managed to get the Gero Onsen Gassho Village tickets from the reception at a discounted price.

It was an amazing experience. There wasn't an information about shuttle bus service and local city on the booking, but it is very convenient things. Car rent is not necessarily. Food was delicious, souvenirs are the same price as in the town. Onsen is great. Property itself has many places to walk around. There is also small market and Gero Onsen Gassho Village- nice places to visit

10 min form the train station, located at the river, and close to main shops. Short walk uphill to the Ghasso Village. Very accommodating English speaking staff. We tried the private onsen for 4000 Yen and it was fabulous! Very clean, big rooms with nice energy.
