The apartment was very clean and the interior was very pretty. The pool and garden area were just beautiful. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of options. Rodrigo was an amazing host, I would definitely come back!

We had the pleasure of staying at this magnificent hotel at the beginning of October. From the moment we checked in we felt relaxed, the staff (Anna, Estrella and Sandra) were all so warm and friendly and made us feel like part of the family but nothing was too much to ask. The house its self is stunning and decorated very tastefully, so many different rooms for peace and quiet, the pool area is also perfect for a quick refreshing dip and to relax on the loungers. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and healthy and the wine from their vineyard is fantastic. We hope we can stay here again in the future it was truly memorable and one of the highlights of our trip.

We stayed as a family of 5 in Quinta do bom vento. We loved our stay. If we could give hospitality an 11 instead of a 10 we would. We felt very welcome from the very first foot we stepped on the property. The property felt like an it’s own little cosy village. The surroundings are amazing with woods in the back yard. Sam and Rich were very kind and you see that they do this with their whole heart. Before booking I was afraid the house would be too hot as it has no air conditioning. My concerns were not nescessary. Quite often we walked around with a cardigan in the house because it was so nice and cool inside. From the house we visited Nazaré, Obidos, baio do Sao Martinho do Porto, the Buddha Eden garden (recommended!) and the Berlengas islands (recommended). I definitely recommend!

    Breakfast brilliant - Beautiful home-made cake. The choc to die for. Standards were very high and the bottled wine they sold on behalf of a co-operative excellent: made for a lovely evening on the terrace looking at pool and backdrop of hills. Would recommend using the small, informal local restaurant only 50metres walk away rather than travelling to fancier restaurants out of the village. - Roads narrow and slow, especially at night.

    Warm welcome and chat with the host make you feel like a dear friend coming to a visit. Nice spacious rooms that reflect hosts passion for Africa. Perfect place in the mountains for a complete switch off. Not far from Lisbon area thus good location to visit western coast. Many lovely villages/towns and vineyards in 30km. In the evening the host took us to a nice local restaurant that served delicious authentic portugese food. Good breakfest.
