On our next visit which will be to see south of Rome, we will take the time out of the journey to travel north and spend time at our adopted "Italian Home".

Wonderful host, and easy to park. Ring the doorbell at front (or call host) and she will help open the parking gate that you can later easily open and close yourself. Not very sound proof, but this is a house from the 1700's so that was not a problem, it just enlightened the experience. Plus there are few rooms so no change of disturbance from other guests. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. This house is such a beautiful build and rich with history you will not need to read or watch a movie before bed, just looking through the story told in art on the walls is enough to keep you entertained. Located in a little town, I would definitely recommend you visit Este for dinner, specifically the restaurant "Ristorante le Strie" for a Micheline Star experience, but for 1/16th of the price.

The overall satisfaction is 100/100 !

They produce wine and olive oil and free WiFi access is available. I had a wonderful stay at Le Volpi, a large part of it because of the spectacular service by Chris (and his colleague Mattia). I am an aspiring nature photographer with a drone and had found this property while hiking. The next morning I had flown my drone to catch a magical sunrise overlooking the property, but strong gusts of wind caused my drone to lose connection and disappear. I went far out by foot searching for it high and low, but to no avail, and came back to the property for breakfast - completely defeated. Chris saw me and asked how I was doing, and I explained to him I had lost my drone. Without even thinking how this could be a fruitless pursuit he reassuringly said “Don’t worry, we’ll find it!” and promised me we would after breakfast and when he was done with his shift. Chris went out of his way to drive me around to find it, and thankfully with the coordinates I had of the drone we eventually did! I just wanted to mention that people like Chris in Le Volpi are what make your stay unforgettable, and deserve to be recognised for their excellent hospitality. I am eternally grateful for Chris’ warmth and kindness, he is such a gem!!!!
