Right in the heart of Tokyo, Real Okubo Apartment Hotel features rooms with free WiFi. This 1-star aparthotel offers a lift. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace.
Accommodation is fitted with air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with hot tub, slippers and a hair dryer. A microwave, a fridge and stovetop are also available, as well as a kettle. At the aparthotel, each unit has bed linen and towels.
The apartment was basic but nice. Everything seemed new and clean. Loved the neighborhood—lots of restaurants, cafés and shops just a few steps away, but the apartment itself is on a very quiet side street. Shin-Okubo station is quite near.
In addition, we asked for and got a stool in the shower because my daughter had an accident and couldn’t walk. The apartment was wheelchair accessible except that the front door would be difficult to open alone and there is one step at the entrance to the apartment. She was able to hop up and to use crutches inside the apartment, but it wouldn’t be doable for someone who needs the wheelchair all the time.
Minato, Tokyo
In the centre of Tokyo, Section L Hamamatsucho provides rooms with free WiFi. This recently renovated aparthotel is located 800 metres from Hibiya Shrine and less than 1 km from Shinbashi Shiogama Shrine. The aparthotel features family rooms. Had a very pleasant stay at the hotel for our 11-day trip. While we had the smallest studio available (booking.com did not seem to have any other sizes listed), it was decent bearing in mind Japanese hotel room sizes, and clean and well laid out. Kitchen was very well equipped, with ample cutlery, crockery and even bakeware. Friendly and responsive staff, even had a large amount of adapters and umbrellas for us to borrow. Soundproofing was also very good, we were not even aware that there were other guests on our floor until we bumped into them at the elevator. There was some repair work going on in the corridors but frankly we could not hear a thing! What I was very pleasantly surprised about was how convenient the location was; coffee and bakeries literally two doors down, more convenience stores than I could count within a 150m radius, and two very well linked stations barely 2 minutes' walk from the property. It was also a pleasant 25 minute walk to main Ginza, for those who want to enjoy some night life without worrying about extortionate taxi rides home (metro stops running before half past midnight). All in all, would definitely recommend the hotel for couples on busy trips who want a safe and relaxed, but well linked place to stay.

We were staying at Villa Fontaine the night before our flight back to the UK. It was a very nice change from some of the airport hotels I have stayed at before! Room itself was great for one night & the check-in/out process was really easy. There are a couple of restaurants/bars on site but there are many more plus lots of shops in Haneda Garden which is en route to the hotel. And it's a really short work to Terminal 3. All in all, would definitely stay here again if flying from Haneda.
The Property is impeccable and must be one of the best Airport Hotels! One however has to make sure to book the Villa Fontaine Premier, as the Villa Fontaine Grand, was full of families with Kids running all over the Place. Suffering from Jet lag, I decided at 4.00am to visit the Spa, which is amazing! Herbal Steam, Sauna, Onsen and a great Gym! After two hours I decided to try to have some rest. I did. The Room is quite spacious and very comfortable with no outside noise.
Great location to visit short term, a bit out of the way from major train stop though. The bento style breakfast wasn't bad, but not sure I'd pay for it again.
The neighborhood had a low-key but busy residential village feel.
Practicality for short term stay
Great place to stay short term if you need to be close to Haneda Airport! Only 2 stops away from the airport by train, and the hotel provides a free shuttle back to Haneda Airport.
I love this villa, feels like stay home.
Friendly staff - very helpful. Good breakfast and great location. Close to subway and Ginza (walking distance). We loved our stay in Villa Fontaine!
The bed was more comfortable than the rock-hard beds at the Royal Park Haneda. We’ve stayed at the RP three times now and decided to give Villa Fontaine a go. The hotel is fine, but the room/bath are much smaller than the RP. Not sure if the more comfortable bed outweighs the smaller accommodations, but this review may help you decide what you value more before or after a long flight
Nestay Villa Tokyo Takanawa was a very comfortable stay for my family and I. Location was within walking distance of the nearest station, retrieving the keys was relatively easy, although the check-in process required filling out information on a web form, which I think is standard in Japan. Area was quiet, wifi worked well, beds were comfortable, and there was hot water in the shower.
