The chalets were spotlessly clean, well equipped and very convenient after a long drive from Cape Town. The little touches of ground coffee with a plunger and Darling toffees were much appreciated and the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again, great value for money.

Canyon Roadhouse Campsite features camping accommodation in the Karas region, near the Fish River Canyon.

Campers are welcome to make use of the main lodge’s restaurant, bar, swimming pool and activities. The campsite pitch was enormous with a tree for shade, a braai an electric point, and a tap with clean water. The ablution block was immaculate, and we were 2 minutes away from a stunning swimming pool and the bar/restaurant. The site is quirky and decorated with lots of car memorabilia. The staff could not be more charming and helpful. The site also has rooms/chalets that were outside our budget. There is a hiking trail around the site, and it's reasonably close ( a drive, circa 15 kms?) to the Hobas viewing point for Fish River Canyon.
