Our cabin was beautiful and equipped with every comfort, with a small outdoor patio where you could relax to the sounds of nature. The parking is right next to the cabin, and the shared bathrooms were always impeccably clean and well-equipped. The pool, located about ten minutes from the center of the site, is nestled in nature on an old, unused golf course where nature has reclaimed its space. While taking a walk through the meadows, we saw deer and other wildlife. It was truly a great experience. Not too far from Yosemite, it's a wonderful place to spend a few days immersed in nature.

The location was great as a base for visiting Yosemite, around 1 hour by car from the entrance of the park. Margaret and Charlie were exceptional hosts who made us feel right at home. Their warm welcome and helpful tips on what to see in Yosemite made our visit even more enjoyable. The room and bathroom were spotless, clean and spacious. The bed especially was super comfortable after a long day of hiking. Having traveled much around the world, this stay offered some of the best value and hospitality we’ve ever experienced. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to the Yosemite area!

I also felt very safe as a solo female traveller.

Everything I needed & more was in the cottage. The main bed is super comfy. I had easy access to each of the patio areas & enjoyed having my coffee & breakfast on the patio with the outdoor tubs (not functioning on my visit). The cottage is the perfect spot to stay while visiting the area. I was there to hike & see a little of Joshua Tree National Park. While Hilary was right next door, if I needed assistance, I was provided total privacy. The hot tub was fabulous to soak in at the end of the day & a great spot to stargaze. I truly wish I'd booked for a longer stay. It was a ten star stay. Thanks, Hilary.

Big Sur Campground and Cabins is a 3-star property located in Big Sur. The property features mountain and river views. The details (nice bedding, soft towels, quality tea and coffee and shower products, gift mugs) make the place a true gem! Staff was kind and helpful!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is spacious; well lit; perfectly neat and clean; and equiped with everything you can possibly need during your stay, and on top of it all a beautiful view with a gas barbeque.
