The location is stunning - exactly the quiet, pastoral setting we were searching for, and it recharged our batteries so completely that we kept extending our stay in our minds. Our room was spotless, neatly arranged, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Each morning began with a generous farmhouse breakfast: fragrant local cheeses, cold cuts, and jams all produced locally and bursting with flavor. Host Fabrizio embodies Italian hospitality. Although we arrived later than planned, he greeted us like old friends and with much care. Later, He personally opened the jacuzzi so we could unwind and relax. Throughout our visit, he checked in with genuine warmth, offered thoughtful tips on hiking trails and village trattorias, and made absolutely sure we lacked for nothing. Campo del Pillo is one of those rare places that feels both homely and special. Perfect for slowing down, breathing deep, and savoring life’s simple pleasures. We recommend it wholeheartedly and already look forward to our return.

This is an exceptionally beautiful place to stay. We were greeted by Nicoletta, who showed us to our room. The room was very clean with everything we needed. Breakfast was also very good, with a large selection of homemade cakes. Roberta is a lovely lady, who made sure we had everything we needed, even at breakfast. This place is ideal if you are looking for nature walks as it is totally immersed in nature. Very good restaurant, close to the place too. Divine food.

It was a family run hotel with friendly staff. I can't speak Italian with only limited words, but the staff went out their way to help in any way they could. Location is bang in the middle of Portifino and Pisa and is a beautiful mountain view. The food from the restaurant is amazing!

Fantastic place! Silent, tidy, characteristic, comfortable etc. Buildings are old but they are well renovated and fresh. Apartment was very nice. Friendly owner and staff really makes you feel welcome. It’s well worh of the drive!
