What a gem this place is. Our stay here was a highlight of our trip to Japan. We wanted to get out of the city for a few days and experience another side of Japan and we really hit the jackpot. The house is located a short walk from the train station on a cool little historical street in Gojo. And also right next to a nice river with a great walking path. Shugo was a fantastic host for our family. His English is perfect (he grew up in Japan and Australia) so communication was a breeze. We got to know him a bit and he's a a really great person too. Highly recommended!

Beautiful house in a peaceful town. The house has a very comfortable and completely private upstairs that is very big. There’s a living room with beautiful tatami and a lovely view. Amazing place to stay in! Such a lot of stunning scenery. The accommodation was lovely and had a very authentic Japanese feel to it. The rooms were idyllic and we had the privilege of meeting the owner - she was very friendly and lovely. It was much bigger than expected and great value for money! The owner went above and beyond to accommodate for us and was always quick to respond to any questions and help us if we got stuck. If I ever get chance to return to Japan, I would definitely want to stay here again!
