Travelling through Japan has encountered many space restricted homes, but this one story house was very large. Plenty of space and a fully furnished kitchen, laundry and bedrooms. The whole building was very clean and had quite modern elements. The beds were comfortable including the futons and the place felt very homely. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking including a spice cabinet and things for making hot coffees or hot chocolates, very impressed by the kitchen. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station and checkin was an easy process to do. We had arrived on a very cold and icy night and they had the heaters running which we were extremely grateful for. Well insulated place. A little sad we only spent a night, but overall a great experience.

The room was good, the bakery cafe downstairs nice but, above all, the free access to the amazing Onsen at the posh hotel across the road makes it definitely worth it!

The room was extremely clean and stocked with all necessary facilties, do be aware that breakfast is served between 7 and 9 so waking up early is a must. The Futon was super comfy! the Onsen itself is also excellent, temperature was just right and there is an indoor and outdoor bath. the staff was very friendly and accommodating to any questions. The ryokan is about a 15 minutes walk from the onsen cho and jigokudani, the staff offered to drive me there but i enjoyed the somewhat scenic walking route

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation! The house was fully equipped with everything we needed, and it was spacious enough to comfortably fit our whole family. The hosts prepared the house with great care — they even left us a kind welcome note and stocked the fridge with some food and drinks, which was a lovely surprise. The location was easy to reach by car, and there was a nearby store where we could buy all the essentials. It was also a great base for exploring the surrounding attractions, which were all easily and quickly accessible by car. The area is beautiful and peaceful — in the evenings, we even saw deer grazing near the house, which was a magical experience. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touches and the comfort of the house. Highly recommended!

What an amazing location, right above a secret river and in a regional full of wildlife. We saw deer, and foxes and spent a memorable morning on the river before the house.

This was my favourite stay on this trip so far. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me even when I said I wasn't able to eat seafood they prepared a breakfast without it when normally it is the same breakfast for everyone. The food was so tasty as well with a lot of variety and the dinner changed every night I was there. The amount was enough to leave me super full after every meal. The Onsen on the property was amazing. It had a carbonated water that was pretty unique and felt great and the temperature of the outdoor onsen was perfect with an amazing view of the coast and snow. The staff will organise to pick you up and drop you off from the station and the walk isn't too bad either. Some reviews complain that the facilities feel dated but for the price I don't think you could expect any better it was amazing value for money for what I paid. I even extended my stay it was that good.
