The manager of the the hotel Inbaraj was great! He made sure we had everything we needed and together with his team, he provided a great experience - from the cinnamon plantation tour to sri lankan food we had not tried before the whole team did their best. The manager also organized a great safari trip to Yala national park. The room was very big and clean. The hotel is surrounded by rice fields and nature.

Host is very kind and welcoming. She gave us tea on arrival and bananas from her own garden which tasted amazing. Immaculatley clean room and bathroom. Room is very big and spacious Also had drying racks which was very handy, also had drying racks which was very handy. Very good air conditioning in room. Organised our safari ar Yala National Park before arrival. Great value for money. Would highy recommend.

Great check-in experience with king coconut water. The staff was very responsive and proactive with regards to getting to the location as its in a remote area. Rooms were very beautiful - free standing building, high ceilings, nice bathroom.

This is one of the best stays. Place is absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We booked the cabana with the private pool and facilities of that was extremely satisfying. Special comment should be given on the customer care of the entire staff including the management. They paid attention to every bit of our requests. Food was delicious. A well deserved 10/10. The Den at Yala is a beautiful property with lots of character. The rooms were so clean and spacious. The location is superb close to national park entrance especially if early morning start. Surrounded by nature so you feel when you arrive relaxed. The meals were delicious. Gabrielle and Sanjana the couple who own and run the property were super friendly organised a safari for us. They made our family trip to Sri Lanka very special. Huge thank you from the Hogan family.

The Boundary Yala is located almost right outside the national park which is great for driving out in the morning. Kapila and Nirosha, the couple owning the place, go out of their way to make the possible impossible. As I arrived late, we were in regular contact and they waited up for me. The rooms are basic, but have a great value for money. In addition, Nirosha, is cooking fresh local Sri Lankan food every night. It was super delicious. Just be aware that they charge extra for the meal. I booked the safari into Yala park through them and Kapila joined as our tour guide. He is really knowledgeable and passionate about nature, with a special fascination for birds. I also appreciated that I could store my luggage there during the day as I continued my journey in the evening. The couple even was so friendly and followed up that I made it save and sound to my next location.

    Very friendly and helpful staff, good food in the restaurant, rooms were very clean. Perfect location to go on a safari in Yala. The hotel also organised a Safari for us. Prasad was the best guide and was so knowledgeable! He told us all about the wildlife in the park and did everything he could to make sure we get to see a Leopard! It was a great experience in the Lodge and on The safari with Prasad!

    We arrived late, the staff was very welcoming, although the restaurant was closed, they still made dinner for us without hesitation and made our stay comfortable. The location was ideal for our "Safari" tour pick up.

    It’s an excellent location bordering the park in a wilderness setting. Very clean accommodation. Basic but great food. We did a well organised evening safari through them and saw a lot of animals. Overall , excellent value for money property , perhaps the best “value” property we have experienced in Sri Lanka.

    Amazing experience at Lake Front Yala Safari. The room was extremely comfortable and very clean but the best thing was the family that run this guesthouse, very kind and welcoming. The lady cooked a spectacular dinner, the best I have had since I'm in Sri Lanka, the daughter is a very smart girl who speaks very good English, she explained to me about the Sri Lankan culture and traditions of Kataragama. Last but not least I could book the safari through them at a very affordable price. I recommend this place 100%
