Love this place. A bit of a trek up the path but well worth the hike. No air con but this was not a problem. Breeze blowing kept room lovely and cool. View was fabulous. Large room and exceptionally clean. Stayed longer than intended. Will return.

Maybe the best location in the Railay Peninsula, definitely the best in Tonsai Bay. The premises are well kept and nicely gardened, the staff are exceeding in friendliness and service. They communicate well and organize transport, the hotel restaurant has the best beachfront setting and the food, while marginally more expensive than the options hidden further back, is well presented and good after a day of climbing. Breakfast buffet is very good value, especially if you are a climber. The room at the main resort is excellent value. Contrary to reports, we had electricity all day almost every day in two separate one week stays in November. Amazing for a cooling afternoon nap when the conditions are too hot to climb anymore. We were warned that electricity would be down between 3-5pm, but I only noticed this 3 times in 14 days, so I think Tonsai Bay is running its own electricity generation. We received drinking water every day, the beds were made and room cleaned daily, and fresh towels were always available. Scented liquid soap and shampoo is provided. The room itself is simple, discrete and clean. The double mattress is firm and seemed quite new, and the sheets were smooth high grade cotton. The bathroom has an electric shower for hot water, a nice looking sink, new toilet and its own ventilation. I’ve stayed all over Railay and for the price, this set up is great value and very comfortable. Lastly, if you are a climber, at the doorstep of the resort is the Rock Shop whose owner writes the Thailand guide for rock climbing. He currently has the most comprehensive gear rental on the peninsular, and definitely the best local knowledge on routes which he is happy to share. There is a shop adjacent where you can buy large 6L bottles of water and do laundry. The popular climber’s bar under the Tonsai Roof is a short walk around the corner and thankfully out of ear shot, so sleeping at Tonsai Bay Resort was always deep and quiet.

If you are going to Krabi you should definitely stay in this property. You get all you need for a fair price, the stuff is incredibly kind and helpful, the rooms super comfortable, the place super beautiful to make you feel like at home, and the location the most convenient and safe you can have in that area. I stayed in the female dorms for 8 nights and felt right at home. The dorms and dorm beds are actually more spacious in person which was really nice. plenty of space to put your things. I also really loved the staff, Lin Lin and Phorn (I’m sorry I’m spelling the names wrong) were super friendly. The breakfast included was great, had an omelette stand as well. The restaurant was delicious and ate there for dinner multiple times. Pool was a great. Such a beautiful resort, and met some amazing people. Walking distance to night market and beaches nearby. Overall great value for money!

This place surpassed our expectations. The scenery from the jungle sounds around, the pool with the greenery, the quietness of the surroundings, the cleanliness, friendly owner with flexibility for check-in and out, very comfy bed, good A/C, and liked we could park easily. we liked our terrace with very private feel, just greenery. Highly recommend if you like nature and driving yourself to hidden gems nearby. I would say this was our favorite place in Krabi to explore inland and just relax, even compared to 4 star hotels due to the surroundings. People who stay here are also very similar, quiet people.

The location away from the loud main street yet very close to it. It was always a pleasure to come back to the hotel. The swimming pool is great and with a unique backdrop: the cliff! The staff went over and beyond to help. The ladies at the reception were extraordinary. Breakfast was good and generous. The bed was enormous and comfortable
