The staff and the owner of River cottage is very helpful, friendly and nice persons. We arrived a little bit earlier than time for check in and it was no problem. The dinner and breakfast was delicious! The owner did drive us to the buss for kindness the day we continued our journey and he always answered our questions and was helpful. If you looking for a stay that’s are comfortable, out of town, good food,quiet and like to have beautiful nature around you, we really recommend River cottage!

We were greeted by the friendliest staff, taken for a walk around the jungle (where we saw monkeys, all kinds of birds, and lizards), and then served a delicious dinner. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable with amenities like coffee, tea, powerful AC and a modern bathroom. They also arranged a wonderful safari with a guide, and helped us speak with and find our taxi driver.

The owner is very friendly.The hotel is next to the national park.You can see many animals there.The dishes are also very delicious.They also organize Safari trips.Although we didn't see leopard, we also saw other animals.I highly recommend everyone to live here.

The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, room service and currency exchange for guests. This is one of the best stays. Place is absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We booked the cabana with the private pool and facilities of that was extremely satisfying. Special comment should be given on the customer care of the entire staff including the management. They paid attention to every bit of our requests. Food was delicious. We will definitely visit again.

Situated in Galgamuwa in the Monaragala District region, Redstone Cottage Gal Oya has a terrace and mountain views. This was honestly one of the most welcoming and thoughtful places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, Sydney and his team looked after us so well. The chef asked what we fancied and was very accommodating. He cooked the most amazing curry, lunch and honey hoppers for breakfast (which we were introduced to and absolutely loved). They even gave us a packed lunch for our elephant boat safari, which they organised, along with a great driver. There were little extra touches that made such a different, like beers in the fridge when we arrived (and they went to get more when we ran out), a cooking class with a local family, a really interesting forest walk with an indigenous guide and when we asked if we could do some laundry they sorted it for us with no trouble at all. The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet spot with amazing Mountain View’s, a perfect place to switch off. Would highly recommend supporting this amazing project. Such a great experience 😊😊

Very welcoming family who will take great care of you - showing you around the area, explaining about gardening and cook delicious food. Very peaceful and authentic spot in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend
