We flew into Christchurch as we wanted to start our NZ adventure on the South Island. We arrived in the morning and Cathy & Grant let us check in early. Once settled, they suggested some ideas for that afternoon as well as several options for lunch & dinner . All of there recommendations were great. The location of the lodge is in a peaceful garden with a stream flowing through the back yard. We had a great night’s sleep as it has to be one of the quietest places in New Zealand. We spent the next day in Christchurch and a second peaceful night of sleep and we were well on our way to time zone adjustment and ready to explore more of the South Island. Thanks Cathy & Grant

Stayed here back in 2009 and was glad to see it met the same high standards they achieved back then today. The beds alone is worth the stay as they are the most comfortable I've ever experienced at an accommodation. It's right near the Westfield and also right behind the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.

Sherbourne Motor Lodge is just a 15-minute walk from the Town Hall and a 20-minute walk from the city centre of Christchurch.

The host Rick is very nice and friendly, the service is superb. He helped us to carry luggage up and down the stairs. Really appreciated his help. The property is close to town, although it is bit dated, but it has been maintained with care, it is very clean and comfortable. Very good value for money.

Convenient location, quiet but not far away from city center. Lord lady was nice and gave useful suggestions. The room was big enough for 2 people, tidy and bright. making a good start of our north island round trip! thumps up.

we were in a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor. very good and comfortable unit and the bed was very comfortable. a handy ten minute drive from the airport.

Surrounded by peaceful gardens, this motel is set in a quiet location away from the road. Each room includes cooking facilities, heating, electric blankets and LCD TV with satellite channels.
