It’s a beautiful cottage, the beds were comfortable, the porch was beautiful and kids could play in the garden. Everything you could possibly need is available (laundry detergent, shower gel, oil and spices, but also cereals, candy and chocolate bars). We were also gifted some appetizers, bread and wine. The owner lives right next door and is incredibly friendly with a lot of information on the area.

Our family of 4 (kids are 12 & 14) are wrapping up 7 months of travel. After 45 different stops along the way, I will say that Hedgehog’s place is AMAZING IN EVERY WAY! What an incredible escape from the busy cities that are also awesome in their own way to a simpler time. The scenery is beautiful, then layer in the myriad of animals (sheep, wild boar, pony’s, highland cows, etc), and top it off with one of the coolest cabins that I’ve ever seen. The cabin foundation is 100+ years old, but the renovations provide all the modern comforts desired. Lastly, the little extras and finishing touches take it over the top.

Plitvice Lakes Holiday Lodge has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Rudanovac, 13 km from Jezerce - Mukinje Bus Station. This recently renovated apartment is located 15 km from Plitvice Lakes National Park - Entrance 2 and 18 km from Plitvice Lakes National Park - Entrance 1. Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the children's playground, or enjoy views of the garden and inner courtyard. We had a nice apartment on the first floor. Alexandar met us on arrival and showed us around. He also gave us tips for visiting the local national park of Plitvice as well as other options for places to visit. The house is close to the national park, super quiet and easy to find, surrounded by forest. The whole area is very touristy but this place is away from the crowded areas which made it very enjoyable for us. We travel with a small dog and enjoyed the garden as well as walking along the quiet road. Also, the apartment has reverse cycle air condition which came in handy due to a storm with cold and windy weather coming through while we stayed there.
