I was advised to hire a car for the up hill walk back, but...
I was advised to hire a car for the up hill walk back, but definitely hire lockers down at the lift, this makes the walk a bit easier. I wouldn't have needed a car, but older people may, it is a 10+ minute walk, but it did not phase any of us. The accommodation is large and facilities excellent, on the whole excellent value for money, I will short list the accommodation for future visits. The sun streamed into the living space. The central location meant you could walk down to shops and restaurants. The staff and manager were friendly and offered great advice, information and directions to local attractions and recommended restaurants.
