Small town, 10 min from Hallstatt and lake, and 15 min from Dachstein Krippenstein (Mamoth and Ice caves, Glacier and mass of tracks...) Much easer and chipper to stay at Bad Goisern. The hostel is just 5 mins. on foot from its town square. I went there during the offseason, so I was pretty much alone in the whole facility. The place offers a good kitchen, clean bathroom and comfortable beds. Considering the rates in the area it is a really good value for money. Checking was seemless and the host was very nice.
