I spent there a week of which 3 days were raining an 3 were clear. In the sunny days I had 3 excusions in the mountains and to Hallstatt. Ebensee is a very good starting point for different attractions (cable car lines, lake cruises, museums and other) which are availabe on spot or in the 15-45 minures car drive. It was nice to return "home" for a full day's hike. Even though the accommodation is located next to the railway, the sound of the train could not be heard.
