Amazing location, beautiful nature, gorgeous lake and the mountains offered perfect walking tours. Local people were nice too :) The centre of the city is small and pretty, many pubs with great wine and food. The location as well as the nature were well taken care off and clean. We were before Christmas, and at this time it is definitely worth going to this city for half a day! The center is small, but very nice, there is a small Christmas market, mostly with food, a very beautiful Basilica, and of course, the lake itself deserves a walk to it. After a two-hour walk, a good lunch at a local cafe or right at the market, and here is the minimum plan completed! In the summer, for sure, the program will be different.Guest review bySemyonItaly

The pension is either new or very recently and very nicely refurbished, our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the view of the lake was amazing, breakfast was very tasty, with a nice assortment of items... It was a great place to stay, both if you want to explore the wider area around Salzburg, and if you want to rest and and enjoy nature. Apartament was very close to the Mondsee lake but we could not get to the lake for free. Our host Anna was very friendly and showed us where the public free beach is.It is 5 minutis by car, but there is beautiful- you can swim and take a sun. The view is amazing.
