The location is perfect, it is right next to Billa grocery store, it has lots of parking space and it's close to the gondola. There is plenty of room inside, the room has two balconies and it's all very clean and taken care of. A nice bonus were complimentary cold welcome drinks and coffee. They offered us a place to store our bikes over night. There are a few nice restaurants in the 100 meter radius.

Location was great, reachable on foot from train station and located on of the one main streets in charming town. Scenic train ride was amazing. Close to well-stocked supermarket, beautiful hiking trails, ski facilities, helpful tourist information - close to everything. We enjoyed the mountain view from every window and restaurant located on premises. Very big apartment with solid wood furniture and special character. Window paintings and balcony were nice touch. Good shower with hot water and big fluffy towels. Coffee machine was great and capsles appreciated. Fancy wine glasses. Host gave us free milk for coffee. Restaurant was excellent, especially pizza. Free taxi service is very helpful. Good WiFi. Clearly a family run business run with lots of warmth. We had a wonderful time. Host was really welcoming, helpful and accomodating.

The hotel couldn't have a better location. The rooms are spacious, comfortable. The receptionist was also very nice and friendly. We stayed during off-season but seems like it would be great for skiing as well since the ski lift (which runs during summer also) is steps away

    Semmering is a rather nostalgic place. Everything reminds of "past glory". If one likes such an atmosphere, he/she is just right. Surrounded by woods and mountains multiple footpaths invite for every kind of relaxing excursions within a green nature.

    Perfect place for a short winter vacation.

    Perfect place for a short winter vacation. Vienna airport is 100 km away. Car rental is fairly inexpensive if you book in advance. Several ski rental shops are in the surroundings. If possible avoid weekends. Many people com for a ski weekend.

    Amazing nature views and the world heritage railways right there. Coming by train requires either taxi / on-call bus, or a short hike up a quite steep road though. Easier by car oddly for a village right on the railways and famous for the railways. Past rich patronage means that costs are still inflated - it's a famous place after all.

    Semmering is a beautiful little town of mostly hotels and weekend houses situated among the mountains. We actually didn't spend much time in Semmering itself, we choose this town as it was relatively close to the trails we planned to go on hikes to. Ötschergraben, Weichtalklamm, several other klamms amd peaks, and even the Familypark at Neusiedlersee is within 60 minutes driving time.

    I understand there are plenty of walking routes at Semmering...

    I understand there are plenty of walking routes at Semmering but the purpose of my visit was to view the UNESCO trans alpine railway on the eastern grade. I was lucky to be blessed with a full sun cloudless day. Plenty of trains made for a great experience.

    Little but tiny place for skiing and walking/cycling. Not many shop and restaurant but clear and nice. If you book be sure, that you can have a dinner and where, if the hotel does not have a restaurant you might drive to Gloggnitz. Stuhleck is close which has more ski slopes and well daily maintained. Usually dogs are accepted and you can make good walks also.

    The property was excellent. Spotlessly clean with beautiful decor. We stayed in suite and the mini bar was nice extra touch. The suite had numerous radiators which was great after a days skiing. The host Andrea was around if needed but in a very unobtrusive way. Location is brilliant for ski slopes and we had use of wet room for our ski equipment and we could use the kitchen to cook which was a nice touch.

    We were pleased by friendly staff, tasty breakfast, cozy room and warm hotel atmosphere. We have visited hotel just before the ski season starts, so it was almost empty. That means that some we had some facilities, like wellness and swimming pool, almost for private use. In case of hotel full of guests, I believe that they could become crowdy very easily.

    We are realy had a wonderful time and felt at home at Bergzauber am Semmering. The apartment is well equipped and cozy. The host is very helpful and always available. We love that it was so close to Stuhlek and the ski area. We will return in the future.

    Tha Chalet is very cozy, perfectly clean, well equipped and also beautiful. It's in the perfect location, ski slopes, supermarket, playgrounds, basically everything you need is in a walking distance. 100 % recommend, We're definitely going to come back.
