FAQs about hotels in Vienna

Waltz Through the Pretty Streets of Vienna

Previously the centre of the Hapsburg Empire, Vienna is the current centre of Austria’s culture, economics, and politics. Visitors may think they are in a museum as they walk through the historic first district, but Vienna also has a youthful and dynamic side with lots to offer.

St Stephens Cathedral in the Inner-City is surrounded by the Ring Road, with grandiose buildings like City Hall, the Austrian Parliament, the State Opera House and the Burgtheater. Enjoy the city where amazing musicians like Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, and Mahler once lived. If you’'re visiting during the carnival season, practice your waltzing skills at one of Vienna’s 200 glamorous annual balls.

Visitors can wander around beautiful park grounds in the Wiener Prater and Schonbrunn Palace provides imperial and extravagant grounds to stroll through. After exploring, eat with the locals by enjoying famous sandwiches at Trzesniewski, a Wiener Schnitzel at Cafe Central or taste traditional wines at the city’s many Viennese pubs.

Vienna International Airport is the doorway to the heart of Vienna. Booking.com has luxury hotels, charming bed & breakfasts and modern apartments to meet any accommodation needs for your stay in Austria’s capital.

Love the transportation system, Easy to move around. Love the trams. I enjoyed the intercity travel and was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery while listening to the classical music via the OBB net. Love the places of interest. I find both the cities that I visited, Vienna and Salzburg are so charming.

Vienna is a beautiful, rich city with fabulous architecture and pretty locations suitable for al types pf travellers includingsolo travels, coule and families with older children. It does not have a lot of activitiesfor very young children. It can be comfortably experienced in 3 to 4 days, there is lot for art lovers and museum enthusiasts experience, especially the Opera House and various museums. It has excellent public transport by which you can see the city. It is also close to few other tourist places which are a comfortable day trip from vienna like Halstatt, Bratislava, Salzburg, Melk Abby.

    I'm biased.

I'm biased. It lacks the presence of Rome and, liveliness of London, the charisma of New York, and the modernity of San Francisco. For me, it is a pretty boring and plain city with not-so-good local food. I would rather spend time in the Austrian Alps rather Vienna. I know that many people love Vienna for many things, but none of those are my things. It feels to me like a middle road between Budapest and Munich, and I prefer both those cities to Vienna. I would say: You should visit Vienna and take some time to discover it. That being said, after four trips, I'm not looking forward to returning to it. I checked the box and turned the page.

Vienna is a world city and the biggest mistake anyone could make is to not allow enough time to really immerse themselves in this wonderful part of the world. Take in EVERYTHING. It broadens your mind, makes you a better person. Trust me. I came for a holiday…12 years later I’m still here. The food..to die for..the people..just gorgeous. If all the world’s population had had the Austrian “Einstellung” to life, there would never have been this horrendous ‘war’ bollocks. Love this place. Period.

The hotel is in a great location - very close to an underground station so it's perfect for exploring Vienna. You can also walk to the city centre from the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by all kinds of shops and restaurants. Our room was nice and clean - although be aware that the shower is inside the room, with only a curtain to separate the bed from the shower. Breakfast is lovely - good coffe and excellent bread & croissants. There is free coffee available from the common room all day.

The room was very big, clean and had a balcony which would have been good if it wasn't during a storm. The bathroom was very big with a separate toilet, shower and bath area, plus two sinks. The hotel is very close to a station to go to/from the airport, plus the tram/other trains to easily move around Vienna. Though it isn't that far to walk to many restaurants and the city centre.

Excellent location, it was so close to everything. In 2 days we managed to walk through all of Vienna’s city centre and visit 4 museums, because everything was so close to the hotel. Breakfast was amazing! Unlike most hotels where you just get a buffet, this hotel offered a buffet and a cooked breakfast menu. Best bacon eggs Benedict I’ve ever tried!

The hotel is decorated immaculately - very modern yet comfortable at the same time. The room sizes were great for the city centre. Location was fantastic - close to the centre and the Vienna Opera House. Staff went over and above to help us celebrate a birthday in the group and to make the stay very memorable.

It's defenetly a cheap hotel for a city like Vienna. It looks modern enough and the staff is friendly and helpful. There are a few grocery stores nearby and it's a 5-10 minutes walk from the tram station to city centre.
