Broken Hill is a great place to visit. Lots of history, great pubs & places to eat. Silverton is a must to visit as is The Living Desert & Sculptures & Pro Hart Gallery also. I've travelled to Broken Hill about 6-times now...sometimes for work and sometimes for leisure. We love the outback so it's no surprise that we have always enjoyed the journey...an oasis in the outback. Broken Hill has everything that you need in terms of shopping, services and accommodation. Totally enjoyed Broken Hill, the Royal Flying Doctors museum is a must, very interesting. Silverton was interesting with Mad Max museum, the donkeys wandering around the town. The Palace Hotel was interesting, I wish I stayed there. Go to the museums is a must.
