Recently opened new build. It is well appointed, clean and comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony. There is a container shipping port across the street, but it never bothered us with noise. Actually it was fascinating to watch the coordination of loading and unloading the ferry. Parking is on site and close to the elevator. There are restaurants and shops just a short walk away. We would definitely stay here again.

Super comfy bed, an assortment of pillow styles (soft, medium, firm) wow, very roomy spaces, great bathroom. Huge mirror, iron provided, two keys instead of having to share the one, parking provided, walking distance from everything in town, great vibe with the artworks in the lobby. Staff were super friendly and professional and helpful. Would definitely stay again. The Commission (pub next door) 10/10 amazing space and food.

Absolutely lovely location – opposite the beach and the penguin observation centre + located close to the centre of town of town and the shops + restaurants. Handy for visiting northern Tamanian towns... Penguin... Ulvestone... Devonport... Wynyard and Stanley with excellent local attractions such bush walks... national parks.... great beaches. The staff are friendly and helpful + provide excellent food and service at the restaurant. Strongly suggest booking a Sea View Executive Suite + Balcony for maximum benefit of looking out over Bass Strait.

Burnie is a lovely friendy coastal town with good shopping facilities and eating places. Apart from the fact that you can walk along the beach and of an evening see the penguins it is within driving distance of other notable places for day trips. Stanley, Smithton, Cradle Mountain and the drive to any of these places is mainly picturesque and there is no need for rushing, just relax and enjoy the journey.

Burnie has many worthwhile places to visit.

Burnie has many worthwhile places to visit. The beach and walk tracks are fantastic. WestPark Garden Centre and Secret Buddha Cafe are fabulous places to visit if you are a gardener, even for just a look. My favourite plave is Bunny Island, a traffic Island on the Bass Highway that has Black and Brown Bunnies. The best restaurant we have visited in Burnie is Uday Palace Indian Restaurant at 77 Mount street. One of the best Indian Restaurants we have ever been to in Australia.

Born in Stanley, raised in Burnie.......what's not to love about the NW coast! My advice is to Google youtube for videos of people driving around Burnie and nearby towns. There are many videos to choose from. Visitors note how the pace of living in Tasmania is more relaxed than Mainland states, and the citizens are warm and welcoming. Enjoy!

Burnie was a base for us over nights, initially we were placed in a room that made it difficult for me with health issues but the reception lady was excellent and reallocated us to a ground floor room. The motel room was very good and the bed quite comfy.

Jones on Wilson is an extremely luxurious B&B which I can highly recommend for your next stay in Burnie. It has the most wonderful decor, rain shower, soft comfy bed, kitchen facilities, and is close to the main road in and out of Burnie, plus there was no noise from the other two units which had people staying. There is on site parking, and the attention to detail is just amazing. Well done Jones on Wilson, I would recommend your B&B accom to anyone!

Fantastic place to stay in Burnie. Huge space, clean, two tvs, comfy bed, fresh towels and cleaned each day. We had the bonus of a small spa as well. Great selection in the bar fridge at reasonable prices, plus restocks of Tassie red wine. Loved the huge mirror in our room. Awesome brewery and food (Communion Brewing) 50m away, plus close to all conveniences and the bay at Burnie. Rate Burnie as a base for exploring the north west.

Unit 3, door off the street adjacent nutrition shop. Only unit window/ door is front of unit. unit is small, just one room. Two sets of stairs into ensuite. Well equipped..Parking a problem. As owner advises, gym patrons park in allocated spots behind services aust. About 100m walk from unit. Rather difficult in rain. Otherwise 1 hour $2.30 between 9am-6pm. Unit convenient to Burnie retail. No oven.
